Moombaki
An interactive VR experience targeted towards primary schools in providing a rich platform for young children to learn Wadjuk Noongar Culture. Moombaki’s aim is to create engaging content that mixed fun with education. My role in the initial Moombaki run was to create totems (native Australian animal companions) that adorable but also optimised for VR gameplay. For some of the Totems I also animated them, creating idle and running/flying cycles (The rigging was done by another team member).
Following the Project, I also worked on a final animation to celebrate the success of the VR experience. As this was purely an animation, I had to redesign two of the totems to be capable of detailed animation and facial motion-capture.

Totem Redesigns
For the revamp of Moombaki, I remade the totems to have better topology and texturing specific for animating with. I also rigged them with greater detail and configured to work with unreal AR Live Link kit for facial motion-capture. This is part of the project is still ongoing, but here are some quick snippets of the new totems!
